Album of the year - 7th place

Bossk - "Audio Noir"

Being a massive post-metal fan ever since I first heard Oceanic by Isis (band, not terrorist group) around 2002, this lead me on Neurosis, and later the outstanding Cult of Luna.

In search of top British bands playing this music, and around 2007 I discovered Bossk, thanks to a brilliant live performance. Shortly afterwards, they broke up, and they have disappeared from my consciousness ever since.

Until this year, when the brilliant Audio Noir landed, every bit as heavy, discordant and intense as the bands mentioned above, the debut album is a testament to the fight this band has had to receive the recognition they deserve, and hopefully, now they have been revived, they will get.
